This is what I look like when I walk my dogs. . . I wish!
Hopefully this weekend I’ll get some good quality dog walking in since the weather is supposed to be nice. I’m also planning on preparing my stomach for Thanksgiving by attending this 100 Mile Dinner on Sunday. I can’t wait! What a great way to begin a week of overeating!
• Want to see what it’s like to live in a historic castle, tower or manor home in the UK? Oh and it won’t cost you an arm-and-a-leg! Lar and Matt are renting a Landmark Trust house with friends next week for Thanksgiving.
• Did you know the man who owns Zara is the third richest person in the world? And did you know that Zara massively outsells H&M, Topshop and all the other high street shops? Read the whys and hows here (Nytimes).
• We’re still on the hunt for the best every-day make-up tutorial. We like this one.
• Need a little tehehe at the end of this long week? Visit the Black Acre Brewing page and click “I’m under 21” (SFW, but there’s music. awesome music).
i love zara! i wish we had one around here. i always would shop there when i lived in nyc. *sigh*
hope you girls have a happy turkey day! 🙂
and another thing about zara.i just found out via the today show this morning that they have a home line! WHO KNEW?!?!?!?!
http://www.zarahome.com/
Oh yeah, Diane! The homeline is sooo popular here! It’s not in stores in Edi (just online), but there is a shop in London. H&M home is equally as good. Soo many tempting places to spend moonnneh!
Hope you have a wonderful Turkey Day too!!!
xoxox,
Lar
there is an H&M home?????????????? how don’t i know about this???????????????
Hahaha! I know! Isn’t it wonderful 😉 Just left the link on your blog.
I just realized that if you have a reaaaaaaally big dog, you probably look a lot smaller in comparison. Note to self: adopt a Great Dane, feed it lots of steak.
And we did a business case on Zara – THEY. ARE. HUUUUGE. I think the parent company owns about 4 or 5 clothing brands. But Zara has a pretty interesting design team structure, which. I could go on about, but I won’t! 🙂
Hahaha! I love the Great Dane idea, Esther! Genius!
And yeah isn’t it crazy?! There design team structure is what makes them beat their competition — without putting any money toward advertising. Too bad fast fashion isn’t sustainable. Harumph.
Yeah, I’m definitely trying to be more conscientious about my purchases about my purchases, but it can be so hard. and expensive! Especially when you see all these blogs with cute stuff from the fast fashion places.
I love Zara! Unfortunately, they make their clothes for girls that are built like models – thin/no curves. So I just go browse wistfully and leave with nothing. Or sometimes try stuff on and laugh at myself 😉 And this isn’t a make up tutorial but I did appreciate the tips on salvaging broken eyeshadows/blushes/etc: http://www.bellasugar.com/How-Fix-Broken-Eye-Shadow-Lipstick-25926517#read-more
Have a great weekend!!!
What? I always thought H&M is on top of the league!

200 mile dinner sounds awesome.
I’m not surprised he’s the third richest in the world. My friend was in an MBA program and they did a study on the company. Smart guy. Plus, half my wardrobe is from there. Love Zara!
