Friday Link Love

Michelle Obama’s DNC outfit on Tuesday night was as spot-on as her speech.

• One more reason to love H&M.

• The coolest coloring book ever.

• Lar and I are big fans of Tara Stiles’ yoga DVDs. Here’s a great ten minute beginners strengthening yoga routine on YouTube.

• My friends and I have been talking about how much we’d love to create our own custom Le Pliage bags – I would order one in grey and black.

• Taking my parents here on a short day trip to celebrate their anniversary and my mom’s birthday.

• A staring contest party? Simple and brilliant.

• Three classic wardrobe pieces I need for the fall: a loose-fit chambray button-up, Audrey Hepburn-esque pants and the perfect pair of nude pumps. Oh yeah, they also have to be less than $50.

Have a wonderful weekend, dear readers!

  1. You might think I’m crazy but I bet you could find the pants at Target based off of some luck I had there recently and the shirt at Old Navy or Target or Kmart. They have crazy amounts of stuff lately. Sadly, no suggestions for the nude shoes.

    1. Oooohhh, brilliant! I’m totally going to Target this weekend. I looked on Old Navy’s website and didn’t find a loose-fitting shirt, but I should probably check out an actual store.

      Thanks for the tips, Sarah!

  2. I love everything MObama does! She looked amazing, and that speech was impeccable. On a side note, I’m visiting the states next week and I’m soooo excited to do some reasonably priced shopping at Gap and Target:)

    1. Is there no Gap in Brighton? The one in Edinburgh seems soooo expensive. You’ll be home just in time to explore the new shops at Target!

  3. I have a custom Le Pliage, and it is FANTASTIC! It was definitely an investment piece for me, but I’m able to stash so much stuff in there. I got mine in light blue and gray – it stands out from all the solid-colored ones!

    1. Oooohhhh, light blue and gray sounds lovely! I have two solid color Le Pliage and love them. I know they’re not really in style anymore, but I’ll be using them for decades.
