The Haircut(s)

We did it! Cath and I have lost (what feels like) 10 lbs of hair all together.

Here is our beautiful stylist Robin chopping into the first braid:

Our four braids will be on the way to Locks of Love shortly. We were originally worried they wouldn’t take our hair because of our highlights, but Robin – genius that she is – cut from the underside (un-highlighted) locks. Wooot! We have so much hair that we should really be donating about once a year. AsianCajun harvest! (Ewww, sounds creepy, but for a good cause!)

Doesn’t Cath look awesome?!

On Lar: UO dress, thrifted shoes, Madewell belt. (In the pic on the left I’m showing Cath how easy it is to swing our my hair now).

On Cath: H&M romper, Madewell shoes, freebie sunnies from years ago

What do you guys think? You likes?

Want some more big AsianCajun news?

I’m moving to Edinburgh in September!!!! (More info to come – including how Cath and I will cope with the distance via AsianCajuns.com, and if that doesn’t work I’ll come back to the states and bring her back with me – sorry, Troy!).

  1. You both look gorgeous! I think it’s sweet that you share the same haircut πŸ™‚ Lar, I love your dress and how you paired it with those wingtips! and Cath, that romper is stellar! πŸ™‚

And exciting, exciting news!!! πŸ™‚ Funny story, I have no idea how in the hell I knew or even heard about Edinburgh when I was a kid, but when I was 8, I wrote a short story of 10 pages (which I heralded proudly as a “novel”) about siblings in Edinburgh. Weird.

  2. The new haircuts are awesome, especially with that little bit of wave. Edinburgh sounds exciting and scary but I am sure you will be fine. Also, good job donating your hair. I have done mine at least 4 or 5 times and it makes the chance (however minute) of a bad haircut totally worth it.

    1. We do have naturally wavy hair, Kimmie- but it often needs a little help (hello moose and salt spray). Throughout the day it keeps the volume but gets a bit limp- weird but true combo πŸ˜‰

  3. Holy moly, so many changes happening in one post! You guys look great, I’m all for the short hair team (even if I’m trying to grow mine out.). Can’t wait to hear more about the big move!

  4. Ahh that’s so noble! And it’s so perfect for summer!

And Congrats on the move!!! You must be so excited (and sad) to leave!!! Keep us posted!
