Lar is a graphic designer and I’m a municipal government worker. We almost never have to wear suits to work, but we try to keep some level of professionalism with our office wear.
On Lar: secondhand jacket, Blank cords and Frye boots.
On me: H&M cardi, silk tank from Jac Boutique, Alexandar McQueen for Target pants, Dolce Vita shoes.
Here’s how we would react if you told us that we’d have to wear a suit with pantyhose and pumps to work.
Halloween has come and gone. Bring on the holiday season! Lar and I are buying each other the same pair of booties for Christmas, but I’ll save that for another post 🙂
you girls are too adorable for words. the ‘look’ is well deserved.
Love this post!! I love reading little insights to the lives of asian cajuns.
My sister and I are doing the same xmas swap a roo- we each bought each other michael buble tixs and are going together in Dec!
hilarious! I would look like that too if I was told I had to wear a suit. One job in life that required it – do not know how I lasted 4 years lol
I don’t have to dress up for work, but I try like once every 2 weeks! I don’t think I have enough cute clothes. Are you girls pumped for Christmas? I LOVE Christmas!
Is it weird that every time I hear “The Professionals” or some iteration of it I think contract killers? Not that you two look like assassins, although that’s the whole point right?
I think I’m just coming back around to suits and what not. 4 years in a uniform has a long hangover evidently.
Happy voting day.
You probably both know my office is slightly more professional, so I’m more on Cath’s side of the spectrum, but I do try to funk it up like Lar when I can. Esp on Fridays~!

Love love love this post! You make business casual look good!
P.S. I adore those frye boots.
well i have no choice. i just gotta steal lar’s jacket. it’s so perfect
you girls look so chic and cute.
hope youre having a wonderful week
Very cute and stylish work wear. I’m a default dress wearer.
The second picture made me laugh. That would be my reaction as well! Your work outfits look so great and are very inspiring. Not that my job requires me to dress business casual (we can pretty much wear anything as long as there are no holes and nothing shorter than the knees) I sometimes get caught up in having to look too ‘fancy’ or professional when I do actually decide to get dressed up and forget that I actually have to be able to walk and move A LOT in said outfit. Can’t wait to see the christmas gift post! although isn’t it a little soon? ;0)
I like how you ladies keep it real. I have a full time job consisting of a whole raft of outfits which I always mean to post but never get around to. I often wonder how skewed a portrayal we get of bloggers’ outfits because of this.
