Lar and I have been big Tim Walker fans well before Juicy Couture got a hold of him. Sure all of his work has an over abundance of fantasy, tulle and giant props leaning up against a manor house interior wall, but he brings a fresh level of creativity to every project. For example, his most recent editorial with Italian Vogue:

As much as I would love to be able to wear deconstructed Marie Antoinette wigs and flouncy tutus, the impracticality of those items force me to find cheaper, more everyday-like clothing on Polyvore. All the items below are under $100 and a watered-down version of the Tim Walker spread. My favorite find is this pair of shoes from Modekungen – I wonder if they ship to the U.S. I have no idea how I’d wear them, but they’re delightfully weird.
The weather is finally warming up here in Atlanta so I didn’t even include a jacket in this set. But come to think of it, I should have probably included an umbrella. It seems like it’s been raining every other day here.
Rouched Tube Dress by Rare**, $78
Asymetric Frill Front Vest, $65
Petite Scallop Lace Vest Body, $50
Gold Jacquard Skirt, 28 GBP
Disheveled Mini Skirt, $20
you should’ve added a parasol!!! 🙂
nice picks~ i lurrrrrrrve that ed!
Someone needs to do a massive jackets post. I want to find some new ones, but I am struggling for where to look. F21’s are often for very short people.
I have to say, I don’t care for those shoes, but, I do really like the pink ruffly flats. You mean that you don’t walk around in tutus all the time? You’re totally missing out.
Oh man those shoes are craze. Awesome picks. (i thought you were over studs? haha just giving you a hard time).
It’s been really nice here in Michigan too-a balmy 55.
cool headbands ftw.
Oooh this is such a yummy color palette. I might dress inspired by these colors next week.
he’s so incredibly creative! i like how he embraces the fantasy world. everyone wants to visit a fairytale once in a while!
I am loving the collection of pastels.here we come, watch out spring!

Tim Walker does the Juicy ads? No wonder why they’ve been so good! The man is a genius
this is such a great editorial! there’s always so much inspiration from the victorian period-the colors are perfect
Tim Walker is my absolute favourite! I have a poster of his photo of Lily Cole in that gorgeous blue Dior dress on a spiral staircase in my room. Stunning. He definitely lives in a Wonderland of sorts.
Ooooo I love the editorial photos, especially the one with the ladders. So fantastical!
It looks like a fantasy world, love it 🙂
