Miscellany from the French Quarter

We’ve spent a lot of our days here in New Orleans strolling around the French Quarter. There are definitely some sleezy parts to it (hello, Bourbon Street and your tasty drinks), but there are some really awesome treasures too!

We hope you guys are enjoying the plethora of New Orleans photos. We know leafing through someone else’s vacay pics can get a little boring, so we’ll keep ’em spiffy and edit so they are just the interesting ones. We want to make sure those of you who have never been to NOLA or Cajun country, get a good taste of it.

We’d love to know if you guys have been here before and if so, what you loved. Ya-ya!

  1. I have visited N.O. many times. In fact, my first ever excursion out of town (without parents) was to visit my collegiate older sister while she was a student at Loyola over a Thanksgiving weekend. What I like best is that one can visit NO with a lot of money or very little money and have a grand time either way.

  2. Oh my gosh it’s gorgeous! I’m so jealous. I’ve never been to New Orleans but I desperately want to go. I hope you guys had a good time. What should I go see should I ever make it down there???

  5. Keep the photos coming; they’re gorgeous. Yay Napolean House and its muffulettas! And yay Brad Pitt’s Make It Right Foundation! It’s doing good work.

  6. LOL, I’ll pass on the sleeze but everything else looks great. I just adore that doorknob. HA, I’d never imagined I’d be doing double – triple takes at a doorknob 🙂

  7. These are so ecletically beautiful. You are really opening my eyes to what it looks like, which is better than I ever imagined. That bookstore looks incredible, and everything just seems really sweet and cozy

  8. Your pictures are great! It looks so pretty there. I’ve only been there once on Spring Break and it was a brief stop overnight to hang out at the infamous Bourbon St. May need to do a trip there.

  9. Fabulous pics! I want to eventually visit Nola. Well, Brad Pitt is doing great work there so I can see why he must be popular. Too funny!

    xo, Becs
