Hello dear readers! Thank you for your wonderful comments on the last post. It is definitely going to be hard to be apart from Lar for a few years, but we’ll visit each other a lot and still blog together – just in two different time zones.
Lar and I had a great weekend that included visiting a shooting range, going to see Bridesmaids, watching Eurovision, eating another delicious meal at Miso Izakaya, attending a baby shower at Watershed, going on a day trip to Chattanooga and watching season 2 of Twin Peaks.
Lar’s outfit: secondhand necklace, Zara tank and skirt, secondhand jacket, Jeffrey Campbell heels.
I love, love, love Lar’s Zara skirt. The pleats, the length and the color are all perfect.
But the best part about Lar’s whole outfit is her jacket. It’s a Derek Lam she found at Finders Keepers! She got it for less that $40, which is about a tenth of what it’s worth. That’s almost as good of a find as her Bottega Veneta bag.
Lar and I have decided we both want a hair style change. So we’re going to get our hair cut together in a few weeks. We’re thinking Alexander-Chung-inspired, shoulder-length hair. I suppose that doesn’t sound too drastic, but it’s a big deal for us since we’ve both keep our hair pretty long for the past 10 years.
Before I get my hair cut, I’m taking full advantage of the length – wearing my hair in braids, in a high bun or a sleek ponytail.
Cath’s outfit: Gap cardi, dress from Lulu’s, Aldo shoes.
I hope you all had a great weekend! Expect some future posts on our shooting range trip and Lar’s day in Chattanooga. And don’t forget to enter the Lulu’s giveaway!
You both look Fabulous! That jacket is a really Fabulous find! I also went to see Bridesmaids and I LOVED it! Looks like you had a great weekend!
Is the Lulus Giveaway the one on their site?
I wish! But it’s not. This giveaway is just for one free dress 🙂
Love the braid and both outfits. Especially that vibrant red–on my monitor it looks almost magenta.
Lar! I have those same Jeffrey Campbells! Gah, they’re fab.
Can’t wait to see your new hairdos, gals.
You ladies look AWESOME! I haven’t quite mastered the whole braid thing yet. I need more practice haha. xoxo
You both look so stinkin’ stylish! The Derek Lam jacket and Lulus dress are both just blowing me away. 🙂
Oh, and I’m so excited to see the upcoming hairdos!!
Love both outfits, but the red, tan, and black combo is so fantastic!
I went to the Chattanooga area when I was a kid several summers in a row. I’ve been wanting to take my husband because he has never been. It is so pretty in the Smokey Mountains and we are big into hiking so I think he’d love it.
Please think of me for the new hair photos!
Of course!
You guys both look so pretty! And derek lam for $40!? so awesome!!
Shoulder length hair? I’m excited to see how it turns out!
And how was bridesmaids? I want to see it!
Bridesmaids was hilarious – definitely a girlfriend movie, but the guys in the movie theater laughed a lot too. Hard to beat such a great cast.
Oh both of you would look so lovely with short hair! Or red hair! or short red hair!
You should have dropped me a line while in SF Lauren, would have loved to be your tour guide!
Love the red skirt on Lar! It’s structured yet cute enough to wear casually! The braid on Cath’s hair so pretty for summer! Can’t believe you both are gonna chop off your locks! Can’t wait to see it!
I’m loving that secondhand statement necklace! The color is amazing and works perfectly with this outfit. As usual, a total hit!
I love Cath’s hair and I love the red skirt on Laur!!!
you both look fabulous!!! great outfits 🙂
You both look amazing! Love Lar’s bright red skirt and your braids! Cath, your printed dress is so pretty too. Love that you two are booking hair cuts at the same time and having similar lengths. I’ve been thinking of getting my hair cut back to mid length too. It’ll just be easier for the Summer! Looking forward to seeing how your hair styles turn out!
Also, I guess being apart but having the same blog will be a fun experience. Sort of each living vicariously through each other! It’ll be comforting but also a bit weird at the same time I imagine.
Cath, I love the braid! Ah, I wish I could still do that to my hair. Lar, you are rocking those JC heels (I have the same ones!). Great score with the Derek Lam jacket!
xx, becs
