We had the pleasure of meeting him for drinks at Leon’s this past Saturday and then doing a mini-street style photoshoot on the square in downtown Decatur. Whilst imbibing and noshing at Leon’s, we thought we would capture our rather professional looking nails. Cath and I are both trying to budget and save, so we haven’t had a real manicure in a while. Instead we picked up some of those Sally Hansen Salon Effects nail strips. And they make it look like I can actually do my nails! They are so easy to use! I’m usually a mess with nail polish (I never take close ups of my hands for that reason ;)), but these make me look like I’m a pro – or I at least paid a pro to do it.
Oh and just in case you were wondering, Sally Hansen is not a sponsor or paid us to review their product. We’re just mentioning them here because I’m pleased as punch that I can have nice looking nails for over a week without paying $15-$20. Have you guys tried them yet?

Aw this looks like so much fun! Love the glitter nails AND those Sally Hansen nail strips. They look really great and easy to apply too!
I’m going to need to hunt down those Sally Hansen strips! I usually NEVER do my nails and had the oddball idea to paint them blue this weekend – oh my word it took forever and they still look like crap!
Looks like fun. I just recently heard of the Sally Hansen nails, my cousin wore a goldish glitter for Easter. I can’t wait to try them now!
I tried the Broadway Dress Nail Wraps ones and I fucking hated them. They were terrible, didn’t stick to the nails (even after I used heat to bond them), and I gave up after awhile. I’ll just stick to the old tried and true method of putting it on and then cleaning up the edges with a makeup brush. It works for me. 🙂

I am loving the blue nails- thanks for sharing! Even as an ambidextrous person, I always mess up the paint on my right hand and get it all over my cuticles!

I love those stick on nails. I get so many compliments when I wear them. A friend even thought they were gel nails. I am hoping to do another set before I have to go a wedding on Friday but I have been holding off since I need to do lots of yardwork.
I’m loving your nails! I’ve tried these too, they seriously are the best thing! My tip is to put a topcoat on it to make it last longer. But I found that the one color one I tried was really weird. The base was white, unlike the print ones that has a clear base. So when I filed away the extra parts, it left like a white line, it was weird. I’m hoping they come out with more prints!
