• Watch Lady Gaga’s latest video directed by Steven Klein, and tell us what you think. It’s my favorite gaga so far, but not everyone agrees. This and this are two interesting interpretations of the vid.

• Locals: 1)hit up the American Apparel Flea Market (prices start at $1) at Atlantic Station; 2) eat barbecue and buy art (delicious!) at the annual Art-B-Que in Avondale; 3) visit world-famous Scott’s Antique market, make like Eddie Ross and score some great deals.

• Drool over some gorgeous set design by Shona Heath.
Produced, designed, written, styled and directed by Brian Patrick Flynn with photography by Sarah Dorio
• The AsianCajuns would like to be Decor Demon’s interns. We hope he’s hiring. Check out his stunning stuff here.
Happy Weekend, Everyone! Tell us what you’re up to!

June 11th, 2010 at 11:18 amI wholeheartedly disagree on the Gaga video. I still think Bad Romance is the best. There is something so unattractive with most of this video, but I’ll watch it again and again anyway.

June 11th, 2010 at 11:30 amI think most people are in your court, Linda. I lurve Bad Romance too, but I love the cinematic quality of Alejandro and that she doesn’t just play the shiny, plastic pop star.

June 11th, 2010 at 11:49 amLove Lady Gaga, she is totally diverse yet she remains her authenticity plus I love her goggles/shades/headgear thing. My weekends spent at the mother of all blogshops situated back here in Malaysia. Too bad we don’t have thrift stores that has awesome stuff like back at your place. I gotta say you guys make this a totally smashing blog. Keep up the good work ya’ll!

June 11th, 2010 at 6:19 pmI honestly don’t know how I feel about Gagaloo’s new video other than that it’s definitely offputting and artistically done… It’s a very disconcerting subject matter. But when I was first watching it, I was very struck by the Madonna-ness of it. However, it almost seemed like Madonna, but BETTER. Can that be true?
Gaga is such an artist. I am definitely enthralled by her, even if I find her music a bit boring and mundane, musically-speaking. But then again, it is repetitive beats and simple melody lines that are the most catchy tunes lately. I mean, speaking of mediocre, just listen to any melody line of any Rihanna’s songs. I mean, “Rude Boy” is just inane. And Umbrella and … god, I can’t name any of her other songs, have a very repetitive, simple, 5-6 note range melody, and yet they are world-wide popular. I won’t deny that Gaga’s got way more talent than Rihanna–wasn’t she a song writer for the Pussycat Dolls for awhile? And way more entertaining to boot.
She’s a true artist. One who also happens to sing.

June 13th, 2010 at 6:01 pmI was wandering down Houston once and ran into the AA flea market they were having there. It was like a riot-except everyone was a girl in leggings. And really bright colors.
Gaga is craze. Although sometimes I think she steez bites Madonna a little too hard. But if you think about it, if you’re a pop star you probably should take a cue from Ms. M.
My weekend consisted of a conference call, lots of photo taking, and dog-sitting. Hope yours was awesome!
