Lar’s New Shoes

Silvia Tcherassi for Payless and Hunter boots

Two new pair of shoes in the same month is a little extravagant. Well, “extravagant” is relative, right? The first pair: from Payless. And  I paid for them with a 20% off coupon from Kroger (that’s one of our local grocery chains for those not familiar). I also had been eying them for about a month (stalking my prey- you know how it is), and I took the grocery store coupon as a sign from the shoe god (can you imagine his/her closet?!), and scooped them up.

The second pair: real wellies – dressed up. I’ve wanted a pair of Hunter wellies since about the age of 10. My anglophilia started very early (with PBS). I was going to go for the classic wellie until I saw these 1) had a heel, 2) had laces and 3) were on sale at Shopbop. Yippee!

Guess which pair will work better in Edinburgh?

Somehow I don’t think this outfit will work as well in the wind and rain:

    xx

  2. Oh my gosh so much is going on since the last time I checked in on you ladies! Congrats on the move, and love how you both took the plunge and cut your hair. It’s definitely going to a great cause.

  3. The colors of the Silvia Tcherassi shoes are just spot on! So perfect for summer with bare legs. and you could totally wear them with some punchy tights in the cooler weather! 🙂

  4. Both pairs of shoes are awesome. I wish I could rock the super high heels. I also know what you mean about PBS and being an anglophile. Doctor Who, Faulty Towers, Masterpiece Mystery. I could go on and on.

  5. Hooray for heeled rainboots! Take it from a girl who lives in rainy Vancouver and put off buying rainboots for years: once you have them, you can’t imagine life without them.

P.S. The boy and I have been toying with the idea of Scotland as our next major vacation! I’ll be following AsianCajuns posts closely for ideas of what to do. 🙂
