Hot Hot Heat

After a long day of work do you know what’s the best thing to eat? A bowl of banana pudding. Pudding, ‘Nilla wafers, and homemade whipped creme. The perfect summer dessert for a hot summer’s day. Cures work/school grumps in minutes- I swear! It worked like a charm after work yesterday.

This dress is kind of like banana pudding. It’s super light weight jersey (very comfy), one-shouldered and covers enough to be work worthy- so essentially the perfect dress for a hot summer’s day (it’s on sale for $35 at Shopbop). I spruced it up with some gold accessories. Below is a closer shot of the June Shin necklace I wore with it.

Dress by LNA, shoes are from Cinti in Florence, belt is Target and bracelet (made from recycled metal) is from Evolve Boutique in Decatur, necklace is by June Shin.

  1. Love that cobalt blue color. I had a top that color and accidentally ruined it in the wash. Sadness!

Lar – yes, it was so random to run into Cath on the square. I figured it was only a matter of time since we all live so close. Would love to do a for real blogger meet-up. Let me know if I can help organize!

  2. I love dresses like these because it becomes chic with the little detail (off shoulder) but is still plain enough to go with everything and about the only comfortable option for this weather!

  3. I love this blue dress. And adorning it with gold, perfect. Also, June Shin wasn’t on my radar before but now she is thanks to you! Lovely!

  4. I love that dress! Cobalt blue is one of my favorite colors this season and the dress looks even better belted. The necklace is adorable too.
