Aren’t these feathers gorgeous? Cath had them put in her hair the other day at Squash Blossom. I sooo wish I had been there to get all subtly hippie-fied. Cath was worried that it would be considered unprofessional at her place of work (city government), so she had the feather lady (Cath, what’s her name?) hide them under a few layers.
Generally Cath dresses with such professionalism (no short-shorts for her at work – can’t say the same thing for her twin sister) that a few feathers are just her piece of flare. What say you?
I love them, they are so subtle! But what do you mean they were “put in”?
Hi Katie!
Cath said the lady who did it (apparently it was a one time thing at Squash Blossom- boo), did it by crimping a small metal piece at the top of the feathers into Cath’s roots – et voila! You can wash your hair and everything, and they stay in!
LOVE! I love that they are super narrow and not stereotypically feather-looking. Do share what you mean by “put in,” and please follow up with how long they lasted/looked good!
Will do, E! So far it’s been six days and they still look like new (we wash our hair every other day).
Those are so cute! I want one!
Oooo nice. Very Mulan/hippie/Navajo runway trend. I think I’ve just offended three subgroups with that comment there 🙁 But it looks great, that’s what I mean 🙂
I haven’t visited in so long. I’ve missed your blog so had a long poke around. Hope you’re all getting over the stomach flu.
Hi Anab! So good to “see” you again! We missed you! xoxo, Lar
Gorgeous! I think it’s a great way of adding some interest/flare!
You have CWL going on in that pic, BIG TIME!
