Introducing the Tacky Christmas Sweater Tee

I know, I know. It’s too early to start talking about Christmas, but I couldn’t help myself. When Skip ‘n Whistle sent me this Tacky Christmas Sweater Tee I thought it was too good not to share. Since I haven’t put my tree up yet (that won’t happen until after Thanksgiving of course), I figured I’d take pictures some place that was guaranteed to have plenty of Christmas decor. . . Tarjay!

Was it a little awkward taking photos in the middle of the day at a busy Target? Absolutely! But it helped me get in the holiday spirit.

My Snow Deer Tee is only one of many Tacky Christmas Sweater Tees that Skip ‘n Whistle makes. Check out the sale going on at Fab.com to see all the other styles. If the sale is already over by the time you read this, you can find the tees on Skip ‘n Whistle Etsy site.

Dearest Lar,

I wish it was warm enough in Edinburgh for you to wear a Tacky Christmas Sweater Tee. The good news is that Skip ‘n Whistle does have Tacky Christmas Sweater Sweatshirts! Other good news? The company is eco-friendly and based out of New Orleans.

I can’t wait to see the your new work clothes you got this weekend. I’m sure you’ll inspire me to dress better at work and get out of my black pencil skirt rut!

Hope you have a wonderful start to the week. I love you!

xoxo, Cath

  1. OMGorsh! Kitcath you look so pretty and not-tacky! It totally makes me want a Tacky Xmas tee and sweetshirt — especially if they are eco-friendly and made in NOLA! They totes sound perfect. I could do with another sweatshirt in this cold country.
Oh and you so are not in a black pencil skirt rut. I really am using the “Cath’s Style” tab/category to get my inspiration when dressing for my new job in a few weeks.
Hope your study session went well yesterday! Miss you like maddddd!!! FOUR weeks and counting!

  2. I agree with Lauren, you look pretty and non-tacky!

I particularly like the shirt with the garland, but then I just like the sparkly. In fact, I’m quickly headed to the tacky–I’m making a marabou-feather wreath and attaching lots of the sparkly. I’m just gonna give in and call it a Liberace Christmas. 🙂

  3. Awesome. I just ordered one to give my brother for Xmas. We actually have an ongoing tacky tee tradition 🙂

    1. That’s perfect!! I’m thinking about starting my own tradition and buying myself a tacky christmas sweater sweatshirt 😉

  4. How do you do it? As someone who’s been, um, invited to leave a Target for merely carrying a camera inside (How dare he!), I’m pea green with envy.

    1. I was torn between the colors because i think the green is awesome too. Make sure to check out the other designs.

    1. Luckily the Christmas section was too crowded. I got a few stares, which always makes me embarrassed, but I’m getting used to it!

  5. Oh, this reminds me of tacky Christmas sweater day we used to have at my old company. Most of us would just thrift something really eyeball searing, but some would get really creative and load stuff up with lights, ornaments and tinsel, it was great!
